Dedicated Advocate for Public Education

Our schools thrive when our community comes together to support students and staff. As your school trustee, I will foster collaboration between parents, educators, and local organizations to create an environment where everyone feels valued and connected. Together, we can strengthen partnerships, celebrate achievements, and ensure our schools reflect the strength and spirit of our community.

About Me

For the past 12 years, I have been deeply involved in our local education system through a variety of roles, including as a parent, volunteer, contractor, and employee with Parkland School Division. These experiences have provided me with meaningful insights and a comprehensive understanding of the workings of our schools, along with the challenges and opportunities they encounter.

As the founder of the My PATH program, an innovative educational program that enhances student opportunities in physical education, arts, technology, and health through collaboration with community partners, I have demonstrated my commitment to fostering an inclusive, thriving educational environment.

As a passionate advocate for public education and social innovation, and a proud mom of two teenagers—one heading to university this fall and the other entering grade 12—I bring both personal and professional perspectives to my work in education and community engagement.

Balancing a full-time career with my volunteering and parenting commitments has always been a strength and passion. I look forward to giving the same energy and enthusiasm to my role as School Trustee when elected.

Voices of Support

This section highlights the perspectives and experiences of community members who have worked with or been impacted by my dedication to public education, community engagement, and student success.

"Natasha has truly made a lasting impact in both my son's lives. Her passion, patience, and creativity provided them with a nurturing environment that fosters growth, curiosity and a love of learning. Natasha went above and beyond to ensure every student felt seen, heard and valued. Her dedication, expertise, and kindness were invaluable to our school community. We felt incredibly fortunate to have had Natasha helping guide our children on their educational journey."

Nicole C , Parent of My PATH students

"I fully support Natasha Maloney in her pursuit to represent Parkland School Division Ward 5. Natasha has been an invested parent, coach, community organizer and social innovator since I met her in 2015. At that time, she was working on solutions to increase the quality and quantity of physical education in her own children’s school. Since then, she has inspired countless others, businesses and municipalities, to become partners in co-creating a better school system for the children and youth of Parkland. Her contribution to governance comes at an important time for public education and I trust in her ability to navigate and nudge the system towards positive change. Let’s reinvest and protect public education by offering Natasha our vote.

Trisha E., PSD colleague

"I have known Natasha since 2018 in connection with the formation and evolution of a volunteer community group known as “Achieve Community Together” (ACT!). Through the activities of this group, I observed her
energy and endurance contributing to the ideas and actions of ACT! whose mission statement was “Healthy Community without Boundaries”. She demonstrated systems thinking, an innovative spirit, and the ability to collaborate despite a diversity of opinion or values. Her abilities and passion for
bridging health, education in the social context of our community culminated in the “My Path” program."
